Preschool

2 – 3 Year-Old Class

Each child is unique and learns at his/her own pace, and our experienced teacher works individually with the children in this class.
We encourage children to develop by focusing on providing fun, play-based learning opportunities inside and outside the classroom.
The daily programme includes individual play, group activities, teacher-guided activities and outside play.
Toddlers have a snack and nap/resting time after school if attending aftercare.
Progress reports are sent to the parents twice a year.

4 – 5 Year-Old Class

The focus in this class is on preparing for Grade R following a programme that is fun and play-orientated. The daily programme includes
individual play, group activities, teacher-guided activities and outside play. Learners are encouraged to form friendships and develop their
social skills in a supportive and safe environment.
The ELDA curriculum is used in this class. This curriculum has different areas of development, including language development, mathematics
and creativity. Learners in this class are assessed on the 6 ELDAS and reports are sent to the parents every term.
The children have a snack and quiet resting time after school if attending aftercare.

Grade R Class

The Grade R class provides plenty of opportunities for individual attention and the teacher focusses on helping each learner develop at his/her
own pace. The focus of this class is on developing the language, mathematics and life skills needed for Grade 1. The Grade R programme follows the
CAPS curriculum and incorporates a variety of indoor, outdoor, structured and free play activities. Learners in this class are assessed using CAPS and
reports are sent to the parents every term.
